Terms of Service

Layout lets you upload or scan a 3D model of a space, furnish it with items from our catalogue, generate 3D models from photos of real furniture, and save the resulting layouts. We may change, add, or remove features over time.

You need an account to save work. You must give accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@withlayout.com if you believe it has been compromised.

• The Free plan allows one apartment scan upload and a limited number of furniture pieces per room.
• Premium costs $4.99/month and adds unlimited uploads and furniture, furniture resizing, and a monthly allowance of AI-generated 3D furniture models.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payment is taken by Stripe on the date of renewal.
• You can cancel any time from Account Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep Premium until then.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will look into it.
• We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice before it applies to your renewal.

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your scans, photos, and saved designs. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you, including sending furniture photos to our 3D-generation providers.

That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, other than for backups that age out on our normal retention schedule.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload — including the right to scan the space in question.

The Layout software, catalogue furniture models, branding, and site content are owned by us or our licensors. Catalogue models may be used within Layout to build designs; they may not be extracted, redistributed, or resold.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Scan or upload a space without permission from whoever controls it.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the catalogue or source assets.
• Probe, attack, or overload our infrastructure, or circumvent plan limits or rate limits.
• Resell or sublicense access to Layout without our written agreement.
• Use Layout to build a competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, and will normally give notice unless doing so would risk harm.

Furniture models generated from your photos are produced by automated systems and are approximations. Dimensions, proportions, and materials may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for purchasing decisions, construction, or anything where precise measurements matter — measure the real thing.

Layout is a planning and visualisation tool. Scans and layouts are estimates and can differ from the real space. We are not responsible for furniture that does not fit, purchases that do not work out, or decisions made on the basis of a design.

We aim to keep Layout available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend access for maintenance, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice, in which case we will give you a window to export your data.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Layout is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they may not apply to you.

You may stop using Layout and delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Deleting your account removes your scans and designs; see the Privacy Policy for retention details. Sections 4–11 survive termination.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice by email or in-product before they take effect. Continuing to use Layout after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
